Batch inauguration cum Parent-teacher meeting

On February 13, 2020, Don Bosco Tech Society, Chitradurga inaugurated Batch 30 in the presence of the parents of an ongoing batch of trainees. Fr. Sonychen Mathew (Director, Don Bosco, Chitradurga) presided over the program. Fr. Saji George (Rector and Chairman, Don Bosco Institutions, Chitradurga), Ms. Shashikala (Representative, Parents), Ms. Triveni (Representative, Trainees) Br. Narasappa and Br. Arun were among others present on the occasion.

The much-awaited program kick-started with a prayer song led by Mrs. Suma.  A warm welcome was accorded by Mr. Shankarappa (Trainee, Sales Associate) and Ms. Asha and Mr. Manjappa MCs (Masters of ceremony). The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by honorable guests.

Ms. Shruthi (Trainer, Retail Sales) interacted with the parents, informing them the Don Bosco Tech's training, Chithra Don Bosco's facilities, and training offered. She explained the difference between holding a degree in academics and undergoing skill training. Thus, she urged the parents to send their children for training and placement.

The trainees namely Mr. Beerappa (Trainee, CRM Domestic Non-Voice), and Ms. Vinoda (Trainee, Sales Associate) gave their testimony about Don Bosco Tech and the facilities given to them.          

Fr. George addressed the gathering while he underlined the biographical sketch of St. John Bosco and invited the trainees to take full advantage of the opportunity.  He also advised the trainees to have a passion for life as he concluded his speech by citing the great example of Alexander the Great.

 Mr. Gopalaswamy Nayaka (Founder, The Silicon Computers, Chitradurga) addressed the trainees and parents and spoke of the values from the training and job in everyday life. He suggested that parents not to force their children to pursue higher studies, but rather allow them to choose to study or undergo training of their interest and caliber. He said, "There is no unemployment in India but there is a lot of unemployed youth. This is due to the lack of adequate skills required." He also said that Don Bosco Tech is a platform for young people to build their carrier as he thanked Don Bosco Tech for its most valued services to the underprivileged youth of our society.

Fr. Mathew addressed the meeting while he congratulated the trainees and trainers for their participation and involvement in skill training. He requested the parents for their feedback about the training program. In the end, all the feedbacks were summarized and was quite amazing finding a lot of positive feedback. Finally, he concluded his speech saying, "There is a power in unity. So let’s join hands together for the future ahead of our children."

Later the guests handed over the certificates to the passed-out trainees. The alumni expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Chitradurga for whatever they are today, it's because of Don Bosco Tech. The trainees also performed some group dances to fill color to the event.

Ms. Soumya (Trainee, Sales Associate) thanked the dignitaries and parents for their valuable presence. This wonderful day ended with a bunches of joy and having a sumptuous meal at 2:00 PM.
