Valedictory: for ABT & Asst. Electrician at Jalandhar

The trainees of Don Bosco Tech Society (Jalandhar) walked across one more mile of their lives journey on February 22, 2020. It was as a token of appreciation the course completion certificates to Asst. Electrician and Asst. Beautician trainees were given as they are soon going to join the labor market.

This function was graced with an auspicious presence of Fr. Sijith John (Director, Navjeevan Charitable Society, NCS). Mr. Abhisheik Benjamin (Coordinator, NCS), Mr. Makhan Lal Palhan (Sarpanch, Jandiala), and Ms. Manpreet Kaur (Cluster Coordinator, Punjab & Himachal Pradesh) were the guests of honor. Ms. Anju Bala (Center Coordinator) welcomed each of them.

As usual, the function started with a short prayer. It followed with some cultural activities. There were some well-prepared fun games as well to give life to the occasion. As the function was on the certificates were given away to the aforementioned domain trainees. These certificates were given away by the chief guest. Awards to the outstanding trainees were also given. Awards such as ‘the best domain trainee’, ‘the best trainee of the session’, etc. were given. There was a special award to the mobilizer who went from door to door with the domain trainers, looking for candidates to train and help, even when the mercury dipped to 2-degree celsius. Soon after that Fr.Sijith delivered a speech in which he encouraged the trainees to ‘keep faring well in their lives.’ He said, “An empowered organization is the one which transforms individuals’ knowledge, skill, desire and opportunity into personally. That’s the collective organizational success.” He appreciated the idea of the award given to the outstanding individuals said, “It’s the first of it’s kind in Jalandhar center.” The chief guest was honored by the center team with a memento, given by none other than Ms. Manpreet.

The function continued for some more time before it was called off with the refreshments.
