A guest lecture held for the Hospitality trainees of Ongole center

To obtain in-depth knowledge of the domain, Don Bosco Tech Society, Ongole center had invited Mr. Y. Prasad (Supervisor, Hotel Central Park, Ongol) to share his experience with its trainees on October 26, 2020. He gave overall knowledge about restaurants, hotels, pubs, motels, luxurious resorts, and bars.

The much-awaited session started with a round of introduction of the trainees. It was followed by a briefing on various departments of a hotel. He brought to their notice on the branches in the hotel industries. Interestingly he also discussed the growth of hospitality and tourism in this modernization. Thereafter, the resource person touched upon the selection and recruitment procedure in this sector.

Being an employee of the hospitality sector he was delighted to point out to them that this sector is one of the fast-growing industries. “This sector demands highly skilled personnel like you,” said Mr. Prasad.

Taling about the hierarchy the resource person mentioned that the graduates may land up themselves as a restaurant manager, hotel manager, catering director, food and beverage director, food service manager, etc.

In his final statement, he said, “It is indeed a glamorous profession that provides one a lot of exposure and assured bright future. With the growth of the hotel industry being augmented by foreign and domestic tourism and business travel, there is an impressive increase in the demand for well-trained quality personnel. The carrier in hospitality management courses India is pleasurable with high paychecks and regular promotions. The mission of the Hospitality program is to meet the needs of the industry and community by preparing individuals to become successful professionals who are capable of assuming leadership roles in a dynamic, multi-cultural, domestic, and international job market.”

Overall it was a knowledgeable session and students were benefited from the various relevant information about the hotel industry by the guest speaker.
