Workshop on BOONFACE-ITI Software Solutions

Don Bosco Tech Society in collaboration with the Don Bosco ITIs of West Bengal, organized a one-day workshop on BOONFACE ITI software on 7^th March 2020, at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Park Circus. The workshop focused on the importance of software solutions and web based applications for the current time.

A total of ten staff from four different ITIs of West Bengal namely Park Circus, Mirpara, Krishnanagar, Liluah participated in the workshop. The institution heads of DBTI Mirpara and Park circus, Fr. Jose Podimattom and Fr. Jaison Thomas also participated in the workshop.

The workshop began with the opening remarks by Fr. Jose Podimattom on importance of bringing in automation to the ITI management. The sessions were handled by Mr.Navjeevan Kumar, Executive IT of DB Tech, Delhi. The first session was on general introduction to BOONFACE software and the benefits it can bring for the management of ITIs. In the rest of the morning session Mr.Navjeevan took the participants through the BOONFACE ITI solutions software and its features.

In the afternoon session, each participating ITIs software were set up and updated the settings. They were also introduced to the website which will be connected to each of their software. Each ITI will be able to design, control, and feed in data to the website using the software. Another important feature which was introduced to the participants was the online examination system. When the government and other affiliated institutions insists on online management and software solutions for activities of ITIs, online examination solution in the BOONFACE is an extra advantage for the ITIs as well the students.

A feedback and suggestion session was arranged at the end of the workshop wherein the participants shared their thoughts on the software and suggest certain changes for more effectiveness and usefulness of the software. At the end of the day all the participants left for their destinations with a renewed hope of bringing in efficiency to their ITI with the help of BOONFACE software.
