Field visit to Shore Front Resort by Hospitality Students of Sabhavaram

To have practical experience, Don Bosco Tech-Sabbavaram organized field visit for Hospitality Domain to Shore Front Resort, Rishikonda, Visakhapatnam, on October 1, 2019. The trainees were accompanied by the hospitality staff members Ms. Ramalaxmi and Sr. Rani (CE & ITeS Trainer).

Shore Front Resort is located next to the Marine Check post in Rishikonda beach. It is all set to become a symbolic landmark of hospitality with an outstanding sea view. Mr. Amay Kumar (HR of the resort), Mr. Jagadeesh (Front office manager) and Mr. Kiran (F&B Manager) guided the trainees and explained all the features of the resort turn by turn. Mr. Amay Kumar assigned one of the staff members to explain about their resort and all the departments in it like Food and Beverage Service, Food and Beverage production and code of conduct with guests and how to take an order, etc.

“Grooming is the foremost trait that a steward must maintain. Body language, soft skills, polite behavior will earn extra attention towards you to be stable and climb the ladder of success in this industry. I congratulate you all for opting such a demanding and life changing course. Hope, you learn what the life is exactly” said by the guest.

Mr. Jagadeesh explained about the roles and responsibilities of each department and the terminology that is used in the resorts. The management was overwhelmed by Don Bosco Tech Society for providing such courses to the needy youth.

At the end of the visit all the trainees expressed their sense of joy and said ‘the visit was a wonderful, fruitful and useful one for them which would help them in their future endeavors.’ The visit concluded by extending gratitude to both the organization and management for their support and assistance for making their visit a success.
