Exposure visit to Mitra Nursing Home, Siliguri

Training along with the exposure visits are a complete training module for Don Bosco Tech Society. With this view in mind, Ms. Poonam Rana (Trainer, GDA) arranged to visit Mitra Nursing Home at Siliguri on December 14, 2019. It was a very enriching experience as the trainees had the first-hand experience of serving the patients.

Covering about several miles to reach Siliguri as there are no proper hospitals nearby the area to explore. On arrival to the spot with the help of the staff of the nursing home, the trainees were helped to tour all the departments of the hospital. On the first day of the visit, they were given a briefing about the roles of a nurse by one of the doctors. It was followed by introducing the different departments by the senior nurses. The trainees were happy to have gone through some practicals on the patients’ care. It was indeed a great privilege for them to have a first-hand experience of serving the patients.
