Training on BOONFACE-ITI Software Solutions

Don Bosco Tech Society organised a 3- day virtual training on BOONFACE ITI Software on the 25th, 26th and 28th February 2022 for all Don Bosco ITIs. The purpose of this workshop is to bring the identified ITI’s on board with Don Bosco Tech on how to access the Boonface portal. There is a separate platform for the ITIs on Boonface where they can update their information and database. The IT Team from the National office have trained the SPOCs of different ITIs to start accessing this platform. The training focused on the importance of software solutions and web-based applications for the current time.

A total of 45+ staff from 28+ different ITIs, 12+ National and State Management Information Systems (MIS) staff from all over India participated in the training. The institution heads of many DBTIs also participated in the training.

The workshop began with the opening remarks by Fr. George Matthew (Executive Director – Don Bosco Tech) and Key Note Address by Br. CJ Tom (Principal-Don Bosco Okhla, Convenor Don Bosco ITI network) on the importance of bringing in automation to the ITI management. The sessions were handled by Mr Navjeevan Kumar, Executive IT of DB Tech, Delhi. The session was on a general introduction to BOONFACE software and the benefits it can bring for the management of ITIs.

In the sessions, each participating ITIs software was set up and updated on the settings. They were introduced to the HR, User Management and Student Administration modules. Live training on the modules has been provided to the participants.

A feedback and suggestion session was taken over by Fr. Noble George at the end of the workshop wherein the participants shared their thoughts and suggestions on the training of the software and for more effectiveness and usefulness of the software.

The session was a success and it will surely help all the participants to achieve the goals and purpose for smooth operations. Fr. Noble concluded the session with a vote of thanks.
