Guest lecture cum farewell function organized at Don Bosco Tech – Mawjrong, Meghalaya

The Guest lecture cum closing ceremony of the 1st batch of security domain under Accenture project was conducted on July 29, 2017. 41 trainees with their parents were present during the meeting along with the trainers Mr. Arjun Sunar (Trainer - Security Guard) and Mr. Bhupendra Singh (Trainer-Communication English). The Guest of honor was Mr. Babu Lim, a respectable figure and the Head teacher from Lyngkyrdem High School. The centre-in-charge who is also the Parish Priest, Fr. Lawrence Nongskeh was also present there to bid farewell to all the trainees.

The program kicked off with a parade march by the trainees. A welcome and introductory speech was delivered by Mr. Arjun Sunar, followed by an inspiration speech by Fr. Lawrence Nongskeh. He thanked all the trainees for bearing with all the hardships they faced in the centre, appreciated them for their discipline and hard work and wished them the very best for their future journey.

The guest of honor, Mr. Babu Lim gave a short lecture on how he has witnessed the growth and achievements of Mawjrong centre since last few years. He explained to the trainees and their parents why they should deem themselves lucky to be a part of Don Bosco Tech. Emphasizing on discipline and time management he said that it is not only important to maintain in the field of defense but in every aspect of life. He inspired all the students to work hard and earned honestly and whatever difficulties comes their way they should try and overcome it so that they can become a better person.

Mr. Arjun Sunar spoke about the placement part and refreshed the trainees about what and how to prepare for the interviews. He also stated on the importance of maintaining discipline at every aspect of life. Last but not the least Mr. Bhupendra Singh guided the trainees on the necessary documents that need to keep handy before going for placements. The parents were satisfied with the training program and one of them says, “I am so thankful to Don Bosco Tech and all the trainers for changing my son’s life”.

At the end of the program the deserving trainees were awarded with their medals for best captain, best in drill, best in written and practical exams etc. The meeting concluded with a collective chorus of the National Anthem and a short prayer by Fr. Lawrence Nongskeh followed by lunch for everyone.
