Linu Raju is a 27-year-old boy from Aryankave, a small village in Kollam District in Kerala. He is a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA). Somehow he managed to reach up to this stage. The family’s financial condition forced him from pursuing a master’s degree. His father was a farmer. However, simple living but high thinking, he wanted to see his son’s success. Unfortunately, his father died, leaving the family in affliction. Soon, the family relied on him for their sustenance. Therefore, he decided to work as a daily wage laborer in the village. At this juncture, he spoke to the Don Bosco Tech, Punalur staff, explained the ongoing situation, and placed his plans. He was asked to visit the center, was enrolled, and counseled. The staff empathetically listened to his agony and allowed him to join the course. He was given the choice to join in for the training in the Retail Management course.

It is obvious for anyone, who lost has lost the one close to the heart, will feel it. So also for Linu, it was very difficult to forget. He was seen as moody even during training. He needed someone who could understand him. But he was in a safe hand. All the trainers were very kind to him. To help him come out of himself the trainers gave him added responsibilities. They made him the class monitor. Gradually, he became active and communicated well with all. He fully cooperated with the trainers. He grew up confident. He showed full dedication in learning Computer, Communicative English, and other activities besides the main job role.

After completing the course Linu attended the telephonic interview organized by the Don Bosco Tech trainers. He was so impressive in the interview. The interviewer had no choice but to grab this promising candidate as a Data Entry Operator in Flipkart, Bangalore with a salary of Rs. 13,750/- per month. It was a dream coming true. “I am happy, not just that I am earning but growing,” says Linu Raju.

Of late, Linu has been awarded as the ‘Best Performer’.
