Ms. Narmada Rathore, daughter of Mr. Antar Singh Rathore and Mrs. Bondi Bai, belongs to the Sajapur district of Madhya Pradesh. Her father is a farmer and mother a housewife. She has six siblings i.e. five brothers and one sister. All brothers are farmers, except Vijjan the eldest one, runs a tea stall. Family income is around Rs. 40,000 a year. Her village is Pawadiya, a far off village, in Shajapur District.

The family faced many difficulties due to the financial crisis right from her younger days. So, she could not complete her education and started helping her family in agricultural activities. One day she met an alumnus of Don Bosco Tech Society, Ashta, Ms. Sapna who gave information about the training and placement program in the center. She went to the training center and got a clear understanding of the training program and got herself registered for the General Duty Assistant (GDA) training program in August 2019. Even in a difficult time, she traveled 30 km from her home to the center daily to attend the training session.

On completion of the training, she attended an interview with Nightingale, Bangalore, and got selected with a salary of Rs. 12,000 a month. She worked in this organization for nine months and shifted to Just Visit Home Health Care Services, Bangalore with an additional salary to one thousand more.

Her achievement and financial support have made the entire family happy. Now through her support, the family could manage to build a house and also could afford to nutritious food. She now encourages others to join Don Bosco Tech Society’s free skill training program and to get a better livelihood. She now dreams of becoming a doctor as she is working hard to reach this goal.
