“I am grateful to Don Bosco Tech Society and Accenture for the opportunity given to me when I was in dire need of support. My financial status is better and I am proud to be associated with Don Bosco Tech Society.” Prashant Malvi.

Many people believe that they have to spend several years getting a degree to get a job. However, this is not always the case. 28-year-old Prashant Malvi could not continue his education further than his 8th standard due to financial constraints in his family. Don Bosco Tech reaches out to youth like Prashant with little qualification. It provides skills training in many courses with different qualification criteria and helps them with employment. Inspired by the successful ex-trainees of Don Bosco Tech, this 8th pass young man is now a Substation Operator, happily working with AIIMS Hospital in Bhopal earning a monthly salary of 15,500INR.

Prashant is a resident of Betul district. He is the youngest of 4 siblings. His father is a small-time farmer whose little income was not sufficient to support the family of 6. His eldest brother Pavan Malvi was also contributing to the family. However, with the increasing daily expenses, they faced challenges of managing the family. This led Prashant to venture out of his home town to Bhopal in search of a job. He stayed in a decent rented house in Ashoka Garden Bhopal.

During his stay in Bhopal, his friends told him about Don Bosco Tech Job Oriented Courses. He immediately visited Asha Niketan Welfare Centre through his friend’s guidance who were ex-students and employed in Bhopal. On counselling by the Centre team, he looked at the future prospects and selected the Electrician Domestic Solution domain. During the training period, he was always ready to learn in spite of his hesitancy in the beginning. Slowly he gained confidence and engaged in all the activities with utmost diligence and seeks clarity to any doubts. After completing the training program, Prashant Malvi was called for an interview at AIIMS Hospital Bhopal and after clearing the interview was selected as a Substation Operator with a monthly salary of 15,500 INR.

Prashant is financially stable and wishes to reach out to the other youth to share his experience with Don Bosco Tech and to inspire them to be skilled for a better future.
