Alfred Kharbuli completed his 60 days training in Airline Customer Service Executive from Don Bosco Tech Society, Crew Link, Shillong center and is currently working with Indigo Airlines - Ground Staff as Officer Ramp in Guwahati Airport, Assam and earning a monthly salary of Rs 25,000 (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand Only). He joined the airlines on March 3, 2020.

Alfred Kharbuli was born and brought up in Kynton Massar, Mawlai, Meghalaya. His family comprises of his parents Mr. Daniel Passi and Mrs. Binolian Kharbuli. He has five siblings, one sister, and four brothers including him. He is the third child in the family. His father runs a small business but his mother is a homemaker. In this way, his family earns from hand to mouth.

He completed his matriculation from Kendriya Vidyalaya North East Hill School, Shillong in 2013. Thereafter, he went on to pursue higher studies in BE (Bachelor in Electrical/Electronics) from Anna University, Tamil Nadu which he completed in the year 2019.

Alfred grew up in a family with many personal and financial challenges. Nevertheless, with difficulties right in front of him, he won a great battle of life, fought for it by working hard towards achieving his goal. He is one “Bright, smart, intelligent, and very good in studies among the siblings,” said his father. His dream was to be an independent person and to support his family. So far the biggest challenge that he came across was the Language barrier since the medium of instruction in his school was Hindi. Secondly, when he had gone for his further studies in the state of Tamil Nadu he had faced the same challenge. At some point in time when he was doing his first year he almost gave up, but his ambition kept him to march forward unconditionally. He took an interest in learning their local language and also to be around and communicate with his friends in Tamil Nadu. Later he magnificently completed his university degree.

After completion of his degree from Tamil Nadu, he came back home. Days passed without a job despite many applications tendered. This frustrated him. It happened that there was a public announcement in his locality about free training with job placement, hearing the announcement brightened his day and made him curious to know more about this training. The very next day itself he landed up in Don Bosco Tech, Shillong center campus to inquire for more details. The counselor briefed him about the training program. He placed this plan to his parents and sought their approval. Sooner, he was given go-ahead sign. He then decided to join the training and enrolled under Airline Customer Service Executive in Don Bosco Tech Crew Link, Shillong.

During the training the trainers found that he had a substantial personality, he was confident and blessed with good communication skills. He is one of the brightest students who spared no stone unturned to equip with employable skills. His conduct was admirable.

During the ongoing training, he got selected with Indigo Airlines- Ground Staff as Officer Ramp in Guwahati Airport, Assam where he is earning a sum of Rs. 25,000 per month. He is associated with this prestigious organization since March 3, 2020. He is a great help to the family; helping the siblings in their studies.
