Khushi Sharma, a spirited and jovial member of Batch-6 from ITC East 2022–23, calls Tangra, Kolkata, her home. Emerging from a modest Hindu nuclear family, Khushi's age of 19 belies the maturity she has gained through her responsibilities.

Tragedy struck early in Khushi's life with the loss of her father, Mr. Arun Sharma. Her mother, Mrs. Kusum Sharma, shoulders the family's financial burden as a daily wage laborer. The elder sister in her family, Khushi's determination led her to give tuition and steadily complete her education up to Class 10. Her upbringing in challenging circumstances instilled in her a strong sense of responsibility, motivating her to pursue a brighter future. Khushi enrolled in the Assistant Beauty Therapist course at Don Bosco Tech Nitika.

Upon completion of her course, Khushi secured a placement at Taj Jiva, Bangalore, starting with a monthly salary of Rs. 18,000. The decision to leave her family and embrace a new city and job was a formidable one, but her unwavering commitment to improving her family's prospects propelled her forward. Khushi's journey is a testament to the idea that determination and hard work can overcome the hurdles posed by poverty. Her salary has since grown to Rs. 24,000 per month, reflecting her dedication and growth.

Khushi's mother is profoundly grateful to Don Bosco Tech and ITC for the opportunity they provided. Her daughter's success has transformed her into a pillar of support for the family, alleviating their financial strain. Khushi's progress is a source of immense pride for her mother, who finds it hard to express her happiness in words. For Khushi herself, Don Bosco Tech has been a life-changing experience, and she considers her journey thus far to be beyond her wildest dreams.

Khushi's salary has been a blessing in disguise, providing the family with newfound stability. What was once a struggle for two meals a day has now expanded to encompass her sister's education and the family's other needs. Khushi, with unwavering pride, acknowledges her journey and credits Don Bosco Tech for reshaping her life.
