Ruma Hasda belongs to a poor family and lived in a very remote area in Manigram Village, Sagardighi in the district of Murshidabad, West Bengal. Her family consists of her parents and an elder brother and she has a little daughter. Her family does not have steady financial income and is very poor. His Father Mr. Soma Hasda is a farmer and earns a very little which is not sufficient to run his family. As a girl, Ruma is simple and very determined and she has only one dream to support her daughter and family and also to support herself for her future but she lost all hope when she got married when she was only 13 years of age and after that she had a daughter and after two years later her husband expired. After that she stayed with her parents.

Before joining Don Bosco Tech, she worked as a cook in Krishnanagar under Father Amalraj. When Father Amalraj came to know the real story of Ruma Hasda he prepared her for further studies and also made her understand about her career. One-day Father Amalraj contacted us and told us everything about Ruma.  She contacted Berhampore Trainers and took admission in hospitality course. Even Father AmalRaj took the responsibility to make this girl independent. Her admission fees and hostel cost was provided by the Father Amalraj.

After the Inventory test and Counseling, she finally enrolled her name in hospitality course under Axis Bank Foundation Project. After two months of intensive training, she finally got a job in Lords Plaza Ankleswar, Gujarat GSA. At presents her salary is Rs 6500/- per month with food and accommodation.

Her parents are very much happy about their daughter growth and success.
