Ankush Sharma belongs from Kootah Village located in Hiranagar Tehsil of Kathua District. His Father, Surinder Kumar, has passed away while his mother, Bishno Devi is the only homemaker. His family survived on whatever their agriculture land could produce. His family was financially poor and it was not easy for any person to get a good education. Unfortunately, he was unable to continue his studies after 12th class and decided to support his family financially by doing some job however he had no skills in which he was specialized.
 
During one of the mobilization program held at his village by Don Bosco Tech, Ankush attended and learned about the benefits of the Himayat Project implemented by Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD). He got to know about Don Bosco Tech, free training programs, various domains and job opportunities available in the centre.  He realized that this was very opportunity that he was looking for. The very next day, he visited the centre at Hiranagar and completed all formalities where he enrolled himself in Hospitality after he took the interest inventory test and counselling. 
 
The three month training went very swiftly. He worked hard, participated in all activities and became confident and content. When he finally graduated from the training program, he got selected in Hotel Bali Resort as a Kitchen Helper with the monthly package of Rs.4000/- with food and accommodation. . He says, “Receiving the offer letter was the happiest moment and day for me and my family”. When he completed six months of job in the organization his salary was reviewed and raised to Rs-8000/Month.  “I am very much satisfied with this job” Ankush added.                               
 
Thanking Don Bosco Tech he says, “I want to thank all the members of Don Bosco Tech Society and MoRD for providing me with such a golden opportunity and opening the centre in Hiranagar to uplift and motivate the school dropout students and the financially poor youth and their families.
