“I am greatly indebted to Don Bosco Tech Society for transforming my life. My experience with the organization was very good. Now I have the knowledge related to Data Entry Operators. The trainers are good who possess excellent knowledge about the course. I have learned many good things during the training,” said Ishwar Dass.

Life was very difficult for Ishwar Dass, son of a farmer in a village called Kashmirpur, Nalagarh which is located in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Being the sole bread earner of the family, his father struggles daily to make both ends meet. With his father’s sweat and toil, Ishwar could study till class XII. As he could not continue with his education, assisting his father in agriculture and animal rearing was the only option that he could think of at that moment. However, in due course of time, he realized that the products generated from the farm are very low as there was no proper equipment or no modern farming technology. Woken up by the situation, Ishwar decided to take some responsibility and support his family.

Life has a way of working out at the right time. The right time for Ishwar came when Don Bosco Tech Society conducted a mobilization drive in his village. He was thrilled to know that the organization provides free skill training for youths like him who cannot afford to go to college. It also provides job opportunities. He was more excited to know that there is a Data Entry Operator course as he always desires to work on computers. With the consent of his father, he enrolled and joined the training.

The 3 months training was extremely useful and helped him to understand Data Entry Operator and client handling skills. Apart from this, another important learning for Ishwar has been time management. He has learned time management by participating and successfully finishing his assignments on time. And finally, the trainers and student leaders were always there to help around whenever he has questions/concerns. He was hard working & keen to learn. He is a regular and punctual student. His humbleness and positive attitude towards fighting all obstacles in life are highly appreciated. After completion of the course, Don Bosco Tech Society gave him chance to be interviewed by Greenlam Industries Ltd., who took him in as an Operator with a salary of INR 12300 per month. His father is very proud of him for his courage and strength to overcome the difficulties and his hard work paid off with colors of success.
