Pallavi is from a rural village named Peddapendyal of Karunapuram. Her family consists of five members i.e. her Father, mother, two younger sisters. Her father is a daily wager and her mother goes for work in the field.

She studied in Social Welfare Government school and after completing her S.S.C she joined a college for higher studies. But it was difficult for her parents to send three sisters to private Institutions due to financial difficulties. Pallavi understanding her parent’s hard work and decided to go to work. Even then she had the great desire to complete her education.

She came to know about Don Bosco Tech society’s skill training program through her friend. She decided to visit the center and clarified all her queries. She understood from the training center staff that the training program is an employment-linked skill development program that can get her a job after three months of training. She then registered herself for the Food and Beverages training course.

Pallavi was very silent and afraid to speak even though she knew very well. After joining the training and attending the sessions she could overcome these fears and change her attitude and overcome her shyness and fear. The training intervention of DB Tech society gave her the skills for working in the hospitality sector.

After training, she was placed in RG Siddhi Hotel in Hyderabad where she earns a monthly income of Rs.7,500 with other allowances like free food and accommodation, and incentives. She is a happy person now and supports her sisters in their studies. She thanks Don Bosco Tech for the opportunity and recommends other needy youths to take up skill development courses.
