Miss Radhika Karmakar hails from Dibrugarh (Assam). Her father Abhiram Karmakar is a Tea Garden Worker and mother Lilima Karmakar is a homemaker. She had so much dream to pursue her career in nursing but being the eldest daughter in the family she started working in a tea garden as a temporary labourer. Because her father’s income was very less.

She worked in the tea garden for a year. Meanwhile, Don Bosco Tech skill Training news was made waves among the youths of Dibrugarh. Miss. Radhika also heard the same and left her tea garden job which was not her dream.

She had chosen the domain Sewing Machine Operator. After finishing the skill training from Don Bosco Tech Hijuguri, she got placed at Frontier Knitters Pvt. Ltd. in Tamilnadu as a Sewing Machine Operator. She was earned Rs.7500 per month at the joining time and finished the On the job training of three weeks at Frontier Knitters Pvt. Ltd for getting the knowledge about all the operations and departments of stitching.

Radhika chooses garment stitching as her choice of full time career in garment industry. Now she is getting a salary of Rs. 14900/month. She expressed her deep gratitude to Don Bosco Tech for the career opportunity.
