Akash is a Range Chef at Barbeque Nation in Dubai with a CTC of INR 30,000. Life was not easy for him. As far as academics are concerned, he had to give up his education after his class 12th due to financial constraints. He did not let it come on his way but he chose to make a good life for himself. With this determination, he set out and worked in different hotels & restaurants. Akash became passionate about cooking by watching his mother prepare family meals. On realizing his need for proper training in the sector to add value to his work, he looked for ways to get trained. This was effortless as he found Don Bosco Tech Latabari at his doorstep. He immediately enrolled for the Hospitality course Under Accenture 11 which started on April 27 2021.

Not everyone has the courage and conviction to make one’s passion a profession but Akash has done it and done it exceptionally well. Coming from a small village of Kalchini situated in the Alipurduar district of West Bengal, Akash had a desire to do something that would suffice his essence of living. He is a son of a tea garden worker whose dreams are cut off mostly with the financial constraints during the Pandemic.

 It was the time when covid was at its peak and he had no options but to attend online sessions. He was regular for the entire three months of training. He took part in all the activities conducted online. Trainers say, there was not a single day he was absent. All he had was his eagerness to learn. On his first attempt at the interview, he got selected and joined Barbeque Nation in Siliguri on August 8 2021, with a CTC of INR 12000.

It is rightly said when passion becomes profession people do wonders and this is exactly what Akash did. Because of his interest in cooking, his hard work and his dedication, in just two months at Barbeque Nation Siliguri, he was further selected for Barbeque Nation in Dubai with a CTC of INR 30,000. Success is something when your work speaks for you. 

Akash is so humbled to be a part of Don Bosco Tech Society. He is thankful for the opportunity which has paved the way to achieve his dreams. All he has in his heart is gratitude and good wishes. He along with his family is so happy and they are forever indebted to Don Bosco Tech. Akash is looking ahead to earn in Dubai and wishes to make it big.
