One such inspiring story of struggle and success comes from one of our own Neeraj Sharma.

Neeraj Sharma hails from an economically poor background in a small village Khandwari, Pauri Garwal District of Uttrakhand. From childhood, he was experiencing a financial dearth in the family and observing his parent’s struggle to run the family. He had to drop his study in between to search for a job but the main concern was his lack of skills and no degree. In due course of time, he went to Haridwar to seek job opportunities.

One day a friend from his locality called him and gave him the contact number of Don Bosco Tech Society Haridwar. He called and gathered as much information as he could. A sign of hope made him visit the center personally. The Don Bosco Tech Team showed him different ways to find and develop his career path through personalized counseling.

He was convinced that this will be a turning point in his life. He got himself enrolled without hesitation. He opted for Food and Beverage Service Steward Domain. He showed great enthusiasm in the training. The training program not only enriched his knowledge but gave him a practical approached. He did a lot of practice in Hospitality under the guidance of his F&B trainer.

The skills training, he gained at the Don Bosco Tech Haridwar supported by ITC gave him a chance to gain a career. The soft Skills training helped raise his levels of confidence. He believes that skills training can truly make a meaningful change in their lives.

After completing the course, he was placed at Domino’s Pizza with a monthly salary of INR 8500. He is very happy as he now has a sense of being self-dependence and a boon to his family.
